None of us are born knowing how to express what we’re imagining, or even hone in on what we want. It’s my job to guide us down that path, together.
Once we’re on the same page for your painting, My decades of art practice help me craft an experience of deep care – so working through an art commission can be a therapeutic influence in itself.
A bit of my history
I’ve been painting since I was a toddler (which is about 40 years now!): learning with paint-by-number kits, with my hobby painting mom and grandpapa. We’d sit and create under the big tree in the backyard all summer. Art is synonymous with nurturing and tenderness for me.

So when it is, it will be infused with the energy that led you to seek this out – whether that’s the love in you partnership, your desire to be transported to a magical fantasy realm, or the remembrance of core values or loved ones.

I had seen a live painter at another wedding and I knew it was something I really wanted for my own. My husband and I are big art lovers, and we decided we'd rather have a live painter for our reception than a photographer who would just take endless pictures of people eating.
As soon as I found Heidi, I loved her style. Right away, I saw her making just the type of art that we love. Her website felt personal and like she was speaking to my free-spirited nature. Plus, she had packages listed at a variety of price points, so I could actually afford her! (Live painting can be really expensive.)
From the moment we were first able to talk, I knew it was a done deal. Being able to talk through all our ideas and having her be so receptive and caring really set her apart from other artists. I love how easy it is to communicate with her. As soon as we hung up, I knew that it was taken care of, and there was no further stress or worry,.
The way it turned out was exactly what we'd envisioned. It was exactly the style of art that we love. It turned out so perfect, and we were so amazed by it, that when we got home on our wedding night, we took another piece of art down to make space for it. It hasn't moved since. It lives right there and we see it every day when we sit on the couch and watch TV.
To this day, I still hear from people about how cool it was to have her painting there. . It was just so so cool.
My advice to anyone considering hiring Heidi: just do it, without hesitation! Her communication and caring made the coolest and easiest project I've ever planned. My only regret is I wish I could hire her for every event. I wouldn't have any wall space left!

Heidi is the sweetest woman you’ll ever meet! She did a live painting of our customers wedding party and it turned into a master piece! I had the pleasure of meeting Heidi at a Disney wedding, and I was immediately intrigued when I saw her set up with an easel. She explained that she is a live painter, creating a portrait of the bride and groom during their ceremony. Watching her work was absolutely incredible, seeing the painting come to life from the first brushstrokes to the final masterpiece was mesmerizing. By the time it was complete, I was in awe. What an amazing and meaningful keepsake for the bride and groom to treasure forever. Heidi’s talent is truly remarkable!

Heidi made an absolutely beautiful painting during my wedding this past August. As a professional dancer, it was so special to be celebrated by a fellow artist in this way. My guests were also delighted to watch Heidi work throughout the evening. She took such care in selecting the perfect moment from our sunset photos for the portrait. I loved how it turned out, perfectly capturing the rustic romantic setting. Not only do I highly recommend her work, but working with her was a dream. We are WAY overdue in praising Heidi for adding such a fun element to our farm wedding. She truly went way above and beyond in asking questions, arriving early, setting up, and wowing the crowd as she captured our post nuptials. Guests are still talking about how cool it was to see her painting come to life before their very eyes. The colors and details of my tulle wedding gown are so pretty, and the painting is a cool keepsake for us. Ok, so our faces are left a little bit to interpretation. LOL. I'd consider one of her fun guest/crowd paintings - b/c faces are usually a bit difficult to capture, especially for a wedding portrait But the energy of the day, and moment, is clear - and the pop of color with the bridal bouquet is the chef's kiss!

Five stars really isn’t enough but it was the most we could give! Heidi was so amazing from start to finish. She met with us ahead of the wedding so she could make sure to capture our values and get an image that made our special day even better. On the day of the wedding she was there early, with plenty of time to scope out the venue and find the perfect place to capture the moment. Her presence was so calming amidst all the chaos! Our guests loved watching her work and were so intrigued by the concept of having a live painter (as was I!). They were also so impressed at the fact that the painting really looked like us! (I mean… that IS the idea, right? Lol) Heidi delivered the final painting to us in a beautiful wrapping that looked almost too good to open. I would highly recommend her to any couples considering a live painter for your wedding- you won’t be disappointed!

Working with Heidi was a breeze. She walked us through the whole process, keeping it very stress-free for me, and had a smooth time working with our coordinator and venue.
Our guests were so taken with the whole event! They would gather around throughout the wedding to watch the painting happen right before their eyes from start to finish. People got a real kick out of spotting themselves in the crowd on the canvas!
We completley adore our finished painting and have it hanging on our living room wall. It's a one of a kind piece that means the world to us.

Heidi devotes so much care and attention to her work and it shows! She also listens well to her customer's needs, and in my case did a fantastic job interpreting my (very) vague guidance. I absolutely LOVE my new bedroom wall mural. Her time is limited, so be sure get on her list quickly!

Heidi painted a beautiful mural inside my garage gym. She's an incredibly talented artist who guided me through the ideation and design phase and explained her process in easy to understand language.
